Thanks to the generosity of Macmillan supporters, local people affected by cancer and their families are being helped by more than 185 Macmillan nurses , doctors and specialists throughout Greater Manchester. These include dieticians, speech and language therapists and welfare benefits advisers to name but a few, all helping people in hospitals and in the community within the region.

We have benefits advisors throughout Greater Manchester, each one of them helping around 200 people per annum to access the benefits they are entitled to.
We also give financial grants and in 2008 we gave over £612,000 to 1,643 people in the Greater Manchester area who were experiencing financial difficulties due to their diagnosis.
At this moment in time we reach every other person affected by cancer. We need your continuing support to help us reach everyone affected by cancer in Greater Manchester.
